On Jan. 13, 2026, Alaska State Troopersβ Southcentral SWAT team assisted the Wasilla Police Department in arresting a man on an outstanding warrant. Aaron Dagley, 34, was believed to be armed and barricaded in a motel room. During the response, troopers spent hours negotiating with Dagley before they breached the door and deployed chemical munitions.

Two people arrested in Ester $500K burglary, armed suspect still on the loose
FAIRBANKS, Alaska (KTVF/KTUU) - Two people have been arrested in connection with a burglary in Ester earlier this month. Alaska State Troopers arrested 37-year-old Joshua Reed and 36-year-old Caitlin Kutina around 10 a.m. Friday morning. During the investigation, troopers state that they found four vehicles, approximately 20 guns and recovered 40 ounces of stolen gold.
